The new and revealed book of scripture
for the GNOSTIC RESTORATION
There are some similarities of language when comparing “Gnostic Christians” to true Gnostics.
The following list provides important distinctions among those similarities.
1. Yaldabaoth: Old Testament Jehovah
2. Demiurge/Demiurgos = evil
3. Archons: evil angels of matter (Demiurge)
4. Aeon: an emanation of God
5. Sophia: an emanation who fell from grace and created the Demiurge and material world
6. Holy Spirit as divine feminine
7. Equality of women with men
8. Did not believe “Christ” died for their sins
9. Did not believe in Virgin Birth
10. Rejected the doctrine of Original Sin
11. Accepted Judas Thomas the twin brother of “Christ”
12. Believed the law of Moses was inferior to revealed gnosis
13. Believed self-knowledge was essential to salvation
14. Believed gnosis leads to spiritual freedom
15. Believed that the spirit pre-existed matter
16. Believed in reincarnation
17. Believed that sin is born from ignorance
18. Did not believe that humans are born with free will, free will had to be acquired
19. Some believed that God created spirits in pairs: one male, one female
20. Created their own scriptures outside the Bible
1. Yaldabaoth:
the dark nemesis of God and Heaven
Jehovah/Yahweh:
the first emanation of Yaldabaoth
2. Demiurge/Demiurgos = evil
3. Archons: arch-angels of God, good
4. Aeon: measurement of eternal time
5. Sophia: the wisdom of God made manifest in a woman
6. Holy Spirit as divine feminine, ie:
Heavenly Mother
7. Equality of women with men
8. Do not believe that Yeshua died for their sins
9. Do not believe in Virgin Birth
10. Reject the doctrine of Original Sin
11. Accept Judas Thomas as the twin brother of Yeshua
12. Believe the law of Moses is inferior to revealed gnosis
13. Believe self-knowledge is essential to transformation, transcendence and exaltation
14. Believe gnosis leads to spiritual freedom
15. Believe that the spirit pre-existed matter
16. Believe in reincarnation (Multiple Life Theory)
17. Believe that sin is born from ignorance
18. Do not believe that humans are born with free will, free will has to be acquired
19. Believe that all human spirits are born either male or female
20. Have their own unique book of scripture which stands distinctly apart from the Bible
