And as they drew near unto the hill, the Lord fell upon the ground being bruised and weary, and certain soldiers took from the multitude Simon of Cyrene, who was come unto Jerusalem for the feast; and they compelled him that he should carry the cross of the Lord.

Summary:  Simon of Cyrene was compelled by Roman soldiers to carry the cross of Yeshua as he was taken to his crucifixion (Y:47:37). Cyrene was a town in Libya, located in northern Africa.
