GLOSSARY
Pronunciation: THAD-dee-uhs + lehb-BAY-uhs
Occurrences: 2
First Reference: Yeshua 22:83
And the youth answered him, saying: “I am called Thaddeus Lebbaeus.” And the Lord said: “This day have I set you at liberty, that you might become as a son unto me.”
Summary: Thaddeus Lebbaeus was a slave boy owned by a man named Callistus, who lived in Sarepta (located in Phoenicia, a Roman Province of Judea). After Yeshua healed the only son of Callistus, the man offered Yeshua anything upon his request (Y:22:76-77). Yeshua asked Callistus to set free the young boy Thaddeus, that Yeshua might adopt him as a son. Giving Thaddeus the name Jude, Yeshua and Mary raised him as their own (Y:22:78-85). See ‘Jude’ for more information.
