One of the sons of Yasher-Baal who was appointed by his father to become the next king of Shinar after the death of his brother, Remlah. After the destruction of Zion by an earthquake, and after the subsequent loss of his father through madness, Adrammelech made war against his brothers in an attempt to seize the great throne of Sumer. Adrammelech however, was poisoned by one of his wives at the behest of Marduk, King of Uruk. Later, the unfaithful wife was murdered by one of her sons.
