Now the chief judge was a man name Busiris of the house of Avaak, and he caused to be brought before all the people the tablets of clay whereupon the laws of the kingdom were written.

Summary:  Busiris was the chief judge of Sumer, and the man who pronounced charges against Azotus of Zion (B:12:22-40).

 

 

Azrael’s Commentary — Busiris, of the house of Avaak

 

Chief judge of Sumer. A man of cunning, cruelty and deceit, Busiris was a sycophant who would do anything to gain the favor of Yasher-Baal in order to fulfill his own sense of self-importance. He was murdered by Jandrus over the succession of the throne of Sumer (Beginnings 19:78-79).
