Summary: According to scripture, Cleopas was a steward for Levi, the father of John, who was one of Yeshua’s disciples. The Sunday following Yeshua’s crucifixion, Cleopas and John were traveling to Emmaus[*] when they met a fellow sojourner who asked for assistance carrying his things. Cleopas and John helped carry the man’s load and invited him to dinner, during which the man revealed himself as the resurrected Yeshua (Y:48:19-27).
