Summary:  Ezra Ben Onias was included among a group of leaders within the political party known as the Zealots, who went seeking Yeshua to see if he would support their cause (Y:29:8). The Zealots were opposed to Roman rule within the boundaries of ancient Israel, and considered the temple authority to be corrupt traitors. The Zealots were willing to put Yeshua on the throne if he agreed to support their political agenda.
