Yet unto these would I add another two, which two festivals shall take place on the
two equinoxes of the year, first in the spring and then the autumn; for on the day
of the first equinox shall you celebrate the Spring Festival of Lovers, but in the
second equinox shall you celebrate the Festival of Harvest and Thanksgiving.

Summary: In the 7th Endowment, Heavenly Mother appoints the celebration of four
festivals which coincide with the solstices and equinoxes of each year. The Festival
of Harvest and Thanksgiving is celebrated on the autumnal equinox (7:4:27), and is
appointed to be a time of gratitude, joy and quiet reflection in celebration of the
blessings sown and harvested in one’s life. It is a day of happy harvest in which
one gathers within their heart the blessings which come from God (7:4:45).
