Summary: Nephtali (or Naphtali) refers to one of the twelve tribes of Israel. Following the Israelite conquest of Canaan led by Joshua, the tribe of Nephtali was allocated land to the north and west of the Sea of Galilee, later known as upper and lower Galilee.
