Pilar (city)

Pronunciation:  pih-LAHR

Occurrences:  1

First Reference:  4th Endowment 24:1

And it came to be that Abbahdon was brought secretly before the Council of Lords in the city of Pilar, which council did consist of thirty-five patriarchs and thirty-five matriarchs; and there stood beside Abbahdon even his own Beloved, Gaia, who was herself awed to stand before so august a body.

See:  Abbahdon, Council of Lords, Micah, Terralee

Summary:  On the mortal world of Terralee, the city of Pilar was the gathering place for the Council of Lords, the ruling body of the General Assembly (4:24:1). A young man named Abbahdon had caught the attention of the Council and was invited to Pilar to be tested by Council members to determine if he was sent by God to be the next dispensational leader. When the Council deemed Abbahdon worthy of the position, he gracefully refused the offer, claiming himself too young to be officially recognized as the one sent from God to teach the people (4:24:1-15). Years later, at the age of fifty, Abbahdon accepted the office and title of ‘Teacher of Righteousness’, and formally initiated the fifth dispensation on the world of Terralee (4:24:24-25).
