Likeness

Occurrences:  1

First Reference:  2nd Endowment 12:15

Behold, I am Azrael Ahgendai, even that very Likeness which drew away Yaldabaoth, whereby I might take him far from the kingdoms of the greater Light; to dwell himself midst all his might in this creation which lies beyond all beginnings.”

See:  Azrael, Azraella Ahgendai, Son of Man

Summary:  After conversing with the Demiurge prince, Jehovah-Yahweh (see 2nd Endowment), the mortal Azrael introduces himself to Shaemdiel and the Fallen as “Azrael Ahgendai, even that very Likeness which drew away Yaldabaoth” (2:12:15). This is clearly a reference to the Azraella Ahgendai and a clue regarding his interaction with Yaldabaoth after the First War in Heaven (6:1:32; E:5:8-9).

This is the only verse in scripture (2:12:15) wherein the name “Azrael Ahgendai” is used, as well as the proper term “Likeness”.
