Pronunciation:  SHOO-lee-ai

Occurrences:  19

First Reference:  4th Endowment 3:11

While yet another tribe among the cherubs had wings like unto an eagle, which wings permitted that they should soar above the highest mountains, to chase each other midst joyful glee midst sunlight and shadow, being themselves called the Shulieye.

See:  Cherubim, Murel-Sundii-Mahali, Shadiel

Summary:  One of three tribes or Houses to arise within the species of the Cherubim, the Shulieye are distinguished in their maturity by feathered wings, like those of an eagle (4:3:11). During the advent of Heaven, the Cherubim were rescued by First God, Areta and The One, from the dying planet of Xandalea, which existed in the cosmos of the First Creation. The Cherubim became the first angels of Heaven, pledging their happy service to God for all eternity (4:3:1-60).

Cherubim of the Shulieye serve as guardian angels to God’s infant children, protecting them within the dimensions of the Keep (5:15:72-74). They also protect God’s children as they experience their mortal lives. Each child is given one guardian angel to remain with them throughout the sum of all their mortalities (4:9:37-51). Cherubim from tribes Shulieye and Goieye also serve as guardians and teachers to the spirits of animals (4:15:57-58).

With the creation of the newest kingdom of Heaven, the kingdom of the Ahgendai, the First Queen of the Shulieye was drawn by divine dreams and intuitions to gather a host of her tribe and petition the Ahgendai to accept their service and communion. The Cherubim Queen, Murel-Sundii-Mahali, was granted her request to dwell and serve in the kingdom of the Ahgendai (5:12:43-64). These Cherubim were among those who bravely fought with Mahaleenah during the Second War against the Demiurge (6:9:26-41).

Another notable and presiding member of tribe Shulieye is Shadiel, who helped Galendriel rescue the twelve thousand Cherubim who had been attacked by Shaemdiel (E:9:28-36).

Notes/References:

While yet to the Cherubim of the Goieye and the Shulieye shall we appoint that they become as the guardians and teachers to the spirits of all the animals which we have brought through the mortal life;

To teach the fish of the sea, and the birds which fly in the airs above, and the animals which walk upon the land; to teach to all these living spirits their place and inheritance within the powers, dominions and principalities of the Telestial Kingdom of Glory.

4th Endowment 15:57-58

Yet within the Keep did The One place also even all the cherubs of the Shulieye, for in the beginning did God make a covenant whereby the Shulieye might watch over all the children of God, to be for each a guardian and a protector.
